Dr. Laura Wodzinski was born and raised in western Pennsylvania where she developed a fondness for animals including dogs, cats, and horses. She began riding horses at the age of eight, and after trying several disciplines initially, she found eventing and competed her Irish Sport Horse through college. It became apparent early on that working with animals was a true passion of hers so she set her goal at an early age to become a veterinarian.


Dr. Wodzinski completed her undergraduate degree in Animal Sciences from the Pennsylvania State University then went on to complete a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. With a true passion for equine veterinary medicine, she complete additional training as an intern at New England Equine Medical and Surgical Center in Dover, NH where she enhance her knowledge about lameness, surgery, ophthalmology, and internal medicine.

During her years of education, Dr. Wodzinski became interested in alternative therapies including acupuncture and chiropractic therapies. As she watched her own dogs and horses age and start to struggle with the effects of arthritis and other musculoskeletal issues, she knew she wanted to provide them as much comfort as possible as they enter their golden years. She currently uses acupuncture regularly in her geriatric horse “Lady Fair” too keep her more comfortable with her arthritis, manage her frequent GI issues, as well as help manage her endocrine issues. 

In 2016, Dr. Wodzinski received her certification in veterinary medical acupuncture (cVMA) from the Medical Acupuncture for Veterinarians. Two years later, she earned her certificate in animal chiropractics from the renowned Options for Animals College of Animal Chiropractic.  She has primarily worked as an equine exclusive veterinarian, however in 2020 she diversified her patient population to start including cats and dogs and started her first practice called Happy Hounds House Calls. In 2024, after seeing the need in the Columbus area, she pivoted her career and founded Balance in Motion Integrative Veterinary Care which exclusively focuses on providing integrative medicine services to the greater Columbus area to all animals including horses, dogs, cats, and livestock animals. .
